A May Wedding Full of Heart and Heritage
There’s something magical about May weddings in Ontario, especially when the skies decide to put on a show. Eddie and Natalie’s wedding at Belkerke Farm & Orchard in Tillsonburg was a little brisk, with the wind keeping us bundled up, but the sky? Absolutely stunning. Fluffy clouds, endless blue, and—believe it or not—every time they kissed, the sun would peek through. No lies. Nature was clearly on their side.
Their day was filled with emotional, joyful moments, but one of the most touching was Natalie’s first look with her dad. She surprised him by showing a tattoo of her maiden name on her wrist, written in his handwriting. Safe to say, not a dry eye in sight.
The celebration was a beautiful blend of Polish and German traditions. Right after the ceremony, Eddie and Natalie took part in the wood-cutting ritual—a symbolic team effort to begin married life. Later, they honored the bread and salt tradition after dinner, representing hospitality, resilience, and a life of shared abundance.
The bridal party brought the color and the energy—Natalie looked absolutely radiant, but her Man of Honour in a vibrant yellow suit was definitely turning heads too. Their guests, especially the European side of the family, brought it. The dance floor didn’t let up once the music started—pure joy from start to finish.
From heartfelt traditions to spontaneous sunlight, Eddie and Natalie’s wedding was one for the books: full of love, family, and the kind of magic you can’t plan—you just feel.
